Kuny AG is one of the leading producers of textile ribbons<\/a> in Europe.

Our factory is over 100 years old and produces ribbons for various applications: haberdashery, textiles, gift packaging, floristry, hobby, craft, orthopedics, medical and for technical applications of all kinds.

In K\u00fcttigen, Switzerland, we have a fully vertical manufacturing<\/a> facility incorporating weaving, dyeing, finishing, printing and assembling. This enables us to respond quickly to customer requests and gives us greater flexibility. Our aim is to offer our customers the high levels of quality and service to exceed all their expectations.

In 1914 Hans Kuny-Thommen bought the little ribbon factory in K\u00fcttigen.

In the beginning he concentrated on simple cotton and decorative ribbons for the slipper industry. In the 1930\u2019s, much more advanced technical machinery became available which resulted in a greater emphasis on quality products at higher prices. A comprehensive assortment of plush ribbons for the corsetry industry was introduced, artificial sealskins for skis and velvet ribbons for blanket bindings were added to the growing range of products. Furthermore, the Kuny factory was also weaving 140 cm wide plushes and velvets for furniture and linings.

In the mid-sixties a dye house was installed inside the main factory which could process velvet ribbons for the fashion industry and which opened up additional markets for the growing company.

The concentration on only a few product lines already illustrated the need for bigger and larger customers and heavy emphasis was placed on a continually expanding export market. Today at least 75% of the production is exported and with affiliated companies in both Germany and England the company is well established in the present-day Europe. We also have a considerable share in the overseas market.

As from the 90\u2019s the use of printed ribbons became more and more important due to an increase in fashion and due to the demand resulting from this we have continued to develop many printing methods and technics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
